Trondheim's Goat the Head have been around for over 15 years, and even though their name might not ring too many bells, in the Scandinavian Metal underground they are some sort of a legend. More then ten years after they released their second full-length album "Doppengängers", Goat the Head are finally back with "Strictly Physical". The album was originally planned to be released in 2020, but after several postponings, here it is. The line-up on "Strictly Physical" cosits of:
Ketil Sæther – guitars,
Kenneth Kapstad – drums,
Trond Frønes – bass,
Per Spjøtvold – keyboards, vocals.
The eight tracks on "Strictly Physical" are defined by a savage but somewhat tamed and yet raging energy. The sonic journey goes from bloodthirsty caveman Death Metal over gatlin gun salvos of Thrash Metal to hypnotizing Doom Metal. Imagine the flames of Surtr setting the whole world on fire and you might have an impression of the soundscape presented here.
