Fancy some ecletic noise? You came to the right spot because we are about ton encounter the second full-length release by Brest's Valse Noot. The quartet from France came back more than six years after "So straight Architecture" with a disturbingly dystopian sonic journey to the darkest remote corners of post-modern society.
The track 'Angst' (video above) is a perfect example of the atmosphere on "Utter Contempt". When something is as dark, calustrophobic and nightmarish, you cannot use English terms like 'fear' or 'anxiety'. Even French words like 'peur' or 'angoisse' do not absolutely work. A German expression is neccessary - this is 'Angst'.

Valse Noot create pitch black soundscapes of intense Post Hardcore and envelope them in stroboscope-lile Noise. The seven tracks are defined by brachial breakdowns and multilayer glitch attacks. Stomping beatdowns merge into hailing blasts while being accompanied by spooky synthetic sounds. As well as this album might haunt you in your dreams, it is just beautiful. Definitely a hot tip for fans of Enstürzende Neubauten and Fugazi.
