In January 2021, Chris Maragoth released his EP “A Vile Gathering”. Since then, the artist from Magdeburg came up with two new singles “Behind this Door” and “Marmelade Starship”. This new release on hand though, is something different. Chris Maragoth wrote “Burning June” for his former band back in 2013, but it has never seen the light of the world as the artist left the band. Now, in the age of the virus, “Burning June” was rediscovered by Chris Maragoth and he gave his old track a completely new make-over. It is a song about an evil creature that is facing divine punishment by being burned alive. As the protagonist recognizes there is no way out of this, they accept their fate and gladly look forward to the fire that will free their soul.
“Burning June” is a powerful and melodic Metal track. Chris Maragoth lets raging Heavy and Power Metal riffs shoot across a rough and massive rhythm. The Heavy Metal presented here ideally musicks the power of the divine fire shooting from the sky and melting the protagonist’s mortal body. Artist Chris Maragoth melodically narrates the fantastic fiction on his intense soundscape. “Burning June” is a timeless piece of Heavy Metal.
