The lockdowns were a heyday for solo projects. And here is one of them that is worth keeping in mind. Irish drummer Johnny has started improving his skills on bass and guitar before COVID hit us. In the new situation, the Dublin-based musician made the best of it, and recorded his first solo EP "Lounge Lizard Licks", of which 'Day in the Sun' was the first single. While I'm writng this review, Johnny is already working on the sophomore EP.
"Day in the Sun" is a heavily rolling Blues hymn. Johnny & The Brewsers play catchy Mississippi Delta tunes and add a powerful Rock'n'Roll guitar to it. Most outstanding element in this butt-moving track is the massive slide on the guitar that adds a burning hot Country vibe to it.
