Abusive relationships are a very common thing, unfortunately they are. More than once a day, somebody might stop and wonder how their friend got into such a situation. More than once a day, somebody might stop and wonder how they got into such a situation themselves. And a major reason is that abusive partners do not show their real face in the beginning but turn from a great partner to a monster over time. Once the disguise has fallen, the person suffering from this abusive relationship needs to find their way out. And this is exactly what Danish band The Machine Knows deal with in their latest single 'Burn the Witch'.

Music-wise,the trio from Århus provides us with massive and crunchy guitar sound, heavy rhythms, a warm and sonorous bass, and thrilling vocals. The backing vocals especially make this Hard Rock and Alternative Rock monster so catchy and anthemic. From the sedate chorus over the energetic bridge to the hymnic chorus 'Burn the Witch' is a powerful song to raise your bottles and sing along to. Have you ever imagined what it could sound like if Josh Homme and Kurt Cobain met? This might be it.

Music from every post will stay in the MangoRotation playlist for 14 days.
