Matt Blackwell (vocals and guitars) and Jack Findell (guitar) have started the band Holding Poison during the first lockdown in the United Kingdom. When their first EP "By a Thread" was released, concerts were still unthinkable. Nevertheless, the EP received amazing feedback; the song 'Sitting Duck' was played on BBC, and it was featured in the Discoveries of the Week on February 24, 2021. Hence, the desire for playing these songs live increased, and finally Matt and Jack teamed up with close friends for a recorded performance, and hired a warehouse for that event. The result, "The Warehouse Session" features four guest musicians:
Joe Lazarus - drums,
Alex Hogg - bass,
Georgie Carter - backing vocals, and
Charlie Carter - backing vocals.

The live EP contains all five songs from the original release "By a Thread". If you have not listened to the original recordings, a comparing listening session will reveal that on "The Warehouse Session" the songs are presented with a lot more energy. Not only due to the fantastic support by the guest musicians, but also regarding the liberating situation of finally playing these songs on a stage, Holding Poison hereby present their own music more confident and more powerful than before.

Somewhere between melanacholia and empowerment, Holding Poison and their guests present forceful, emotional, and atmospheric Millenium-era-Alternative Rock. The melodic, gloomily harmonic, and yet powerful soundscapes will enchant the ears of fans of Congoroo or similar acts.
Finally, the EP contains two cover versions. Holding Poison extended their set by adding their interpretations of John Mayer's 'Love Song For No One', and 'Low' by the Foo Fighters. The two cover versions fit the atmosphere beautifully, and should by no means be regarded as fillers. So, if you loved "By a Thread" - here's the version with more emotions and goosebumps for you.
