'Circles' is the fourth single by Berlin-based artist IRYS. The gloomy sound feels like the loops your thoughts go round and around in when going through tough times. Thus, the single is a sonic analogy to a long gaze into a mirror which arouses ruminating thoughts, loops and spirals of inner monologue.


A remorseless and harsh synthetic Post Punk theme drives the verses forward on which artist IRYS spreads her hitdark and mesmerizing vocals. On several layers the intensity of the sound increases until it climaxes in the colourful and boppy Pop chorus. But as it happens to be in such 'Circles', the darkness returns, and therefore the thrilling synthie lead does too. IRYS' 'Circles' is the sound to be dragged away to - an intense Synthwave and Dark Pop.
