The latest release "Messages" by Hudson's one-saurian-army is only seven months old, but Geoff Saavedra, also known as Titanosaur is already back with his EP "Inti Wañu". The title is the Quechuan word for "Sun Warrior" and describes Saavedra's connection to his Ecuadorian roots, especially to his grandmother who is a direct descendant of the Inca. Like on the previous work, vocals, guitars, bass, and programming were done by Geoff Saavedra. Guest musicians are Anthony DiFiglio, who played the guitar solo on 'On the Run', and Froglord who contributed backing vocals and the lead guitar on 'Someone will come'.
The sounds on "Inti Wañu" can be described as a brachial mix of Stoner Punk, Stoner Metal, and Stenchcore. Personally, I would locate the soundscapes somewhere between Amebix, Warcollapse, and early Motörhead.
"Inti Wañu" is a smoked-out, stoned, doomed, and dystopian Metal Punk EP. Titanosaur presents massive sounds, brachial moshpit attacks, atmospheric Stoner Metal passages, and the air of doom. It is the soundtrack of the last days of Incan rule over Latin America facing the culture's doom brought by the 'Super Colossal Spanish Queen'. "Inti Wañu" is a hot recommendations for fans of Metalpunk, Crust, Stench, and Stoner Metal.
