Roi Bars - Run from the Police
Release Date: May 21, 2021
Length: 02:45
Genre: Electro Punk / Dubstep
Origin: San Diego, California, USA

In his latest single, San Diego's Roi Bars (aka Rodrigo Bars) deals with corruption, malpractice, and caprice by the police. Originally from Mexican town Guadalajara, the Caliornia-based musician takes on his experience he has made on both sides of the Mexican-US border. Thus, "Run from the Police" is a song expressing the frustration about unjust treatment by those whose job should be to protect the peope instead of harrassing them.

What starts with a Latin trumpet, becomes an uptempo Electro Punk anthem. Those of you who know the German music scene a bit, might find parallels to Berlin's Egotronic in the song.
The dynamic soundscape perfectly fits the movement of the first-person camera in the music video which follows a person's try to get away from the police. Before the last chorus, Roi Bars implements a harsh Dubstep breakdown - goosebumps alert!
