Horror Punk is not dead. Yes, sometimes it smells a little musty. And yet, Michale Graves is trying really hard to hammer nail after nail into the coffin of th genre. But neither of those things will kill Horror Punk, "denn die Todten reiten schnell" (German: "Because the Dead ride fast"; Gottfried August Bürger).
Thus, be introduced to L.A.'s Vampyro, Wolfgang and Tony, also known as Salem's Ghosts. The trio is apparently working on a new album called "Blood Magic" which will appear on Vampyro Records. So, let's listen to the ex ante single "Sacrifice".

Salem's Ghosts play Horror Punk without being the umpteenth Rezurex-/Samhain-/Misfits-rehash. Sort-of metallic and defined by an atmosphere that tastes like a cold steel blade, the trio spreads their spooky narrative. No, Horror Punk is not dead, and it is a genre that is way too often underrated according to its potentials. Salem's Ghosts prove that autochthonous Horror Punk is a thing, and hence I am really looking forward for "Blood Magic" to be released.
