The eponymous protagonist of the film 'Donnie Darko' wrote "THEY MADE ME DO IT" in large letters. And the question about who "they" are can still fill nights.
The latest single The TV made me do it" by Sean McCarthy (drums) and Harry Springer (guitar and vocals) is not related to the film, anyways. Instead, Californian duo Moon Walker express their reactions on media sensationalism. Events like Trump supporters raiding the Capitol can lead to a massive fuss on television, radio, etc. And although broadcasting and the freedom of press are some of the highest goods of a free society, sensationalism has nothing to do with that.

Music-wise, "The TV made me do it" is a bouyant, easy-going, and light-footed Indie Funk anthem containing lots of fuzz, psychedelia, and gentle movement. The catchy bass line in the verses is the most outstanding element, and it smoothly leads into a bright sonic calleidoscope that is the chorus. This sound should be called Psychedelic Disco.
