Scotland's Heavy Psych trio Heavy Mama are currently celebrating their 15th anniversary. On that occasion, a new mix of their song "Devil on my Shoulder" has recently been released. This song was featured in the Discoveries of the Week, by the way.
"Cosmic Acid Mother" was orignally recorded during the same live session as "Devil on my Shoulder" back 2009. Hence, the band decided to have a remixed version of this original recording be the follw-up release to "Devil on my Shoulder". Apart from a remixed multitrack and a re-recorded bass, the new single consists of original 2009 material only.
"Cosmic Acid Mother" is a hypnotizing powerload of Heavy Psychedelic Rock and Space Rock. The instrumental jam is as sedative and propelling as a warp speed ride to distant galaxies. Crunchy 60s Psychedelic Rock provides the mood of a lucid dream while the energetic rhythms create a multi-colour, mesmerizing kaleidoscope of sound.
