Stranded Mermaid is the solo project by Louise Lindenger (co-producer and songwriter in I Don't Speak French and Swedish Red Elephant). The new track on hand, "Allies" is the most recent of four new singles that have been published Stranded Mermaid since 2020. The time since the virus turned our lives upside down and thus, solo projects are coming back. The song is an honest take on friendship without white-washing. Friendship often comes with struggles, with conflicts and with dispute - and yet a true friendship is an everlasting ally.
Stranded Mermaid has created a dynamic and heavily moving track. Folk tunes are synthesized on an energetic base, atmospheric sounds grind on the the rocky beat, and after all, the anthemic chorus shines bright like the sun's reflection on new snow.
