 COW - Notemakers
Release Date: April 16, 2021
Length: 03:35
Genre: Grungegaze
Origin: North Wales / Liverpool, England

COW are a quartet from North Wales and Liverpool. Coming together for jam sessions and further creative meetings quickly lead to the foour musicians forming a band - COW was born. Their latest single "Notemakers" was published via Chester's Mai 68 Records, and by looking at the cover artwork you might recognize whom the song is about. Here's "Notemakers", a sonic narrative about journalist Hunter S. Thompson riding through the heat of the desert.

The desert theme is present in the music as well, as COW implement the stolidity of Desert Rock à la Thin White Rope into the song. Yet, "Notemakers" has a certain dynamic motion to it which is predominantly due to the Alternative Rock (or rather Grunge) riffs. And finally, fine-grained like desert sand, the emotional atmosphere of Shoegaze completes the soundscape of this unique song. "Notemakers" is a fantastic sonic journey between heat and thirst, hallucinations and the need to finish a job.
